Okay I'm looking at building something similar but put the encoder on the wheeled carriages of a 3d printer. What is the advantage of this over the mechandunio?

AnanasStepper is designed for CAN bus or RS485 application that makes the system more flexible .And we redesign the driver , the max current is up to 3.5A. the encoder is 15bit precision.
